Sightline in a nonprofit that equips Cascadia’s citizens and decision-makers with policy research and practical tools. They shared this 90-second video on upzoning. The video explains how there are often invisible walls in communities that are created through zoning. Upzoning is a process to remove those walls. Upzoning lifts common restrictions that reserve too much of our land exclusively for only one house per one large lot. Upzoning helps ensure more modest, affordable choices are available in more neighborhoods, including rental choices.
