Since 1992 it has been ACT’s mission to strengthen the fabric of Andover through creating permanently affordable homes in town. We work with the town, religious communities, the Greater Lawrence Technical School, and a multitude of residents. Together we see a future where Andover is a more diverse, inclusive and vibrant community.

For the families who have made an ACT house their home, they experience the joy and stability of being a homeowner in a community with a strong school system, a strong economy with many local jobs, access to interstates for commuting to jobs out of town, and a feeling of security.

Greater Lawrence Technical School students gain valuable skills every day on our work sites. These talented students are the future plumbers, electricians and carpenters for our community.

And Andover residents benefit from a diverse community, for without that diversity we each experience loss. We know that diversity has numerous benefits from improved academic achievement to enhanced intergroup relationships to positive life-long outcomes.  Children learn better how to navigate adulthood in an increasingly diverse society if they attend diverse schools. Employees today work in increasingly diverse teams.  Consumers benefit from increased choice. Diversity builds stronger communities!
